Ever since the resurrection of Jesus Christ, his followers have gathered on Sunday, the first day of the week, to worship him. This worship is expressed through singing, praying, reading and teaching from the Scriptures, and celebrating the Lord’s Supper – a Christian ritual where bread and either wine or juice are shared to remind us of the body and blood of Jesus that was given for our salvation. Every Sunday morning we gather for this same worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
What time do you start?
LOPC offers Sunday School classes at 9am in the education building, for any interested. Starting at 10am there is coffee and refreshments in the sanctuary lobby. The worship service starts at 10:30am in the sanctuary and lasts 60-75 minutes.
When do you celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion)?
Following the tradition of the earliest of Christian churches, we feature the Lord’s Supper (Communion) at every Sunday morning worship service.
Do you offer anything for children?
LOPC offers Sunday School for children too at 9am in the education building. During the worship service we offer child care for infants. Children PK-5th Grade start the service with their parents, but are then offered dismissal to children’s church before the sermon.
How should I dress?
Come as you are. God knows who we are and welcomes us, whether he finds us underneath a coat and tie or jeans and a t-shirt.
